GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Clear Audio for Sungai Maong Methodist Church

19 Sep 2015: Located in Kuching, Sarawak, with a seating capacity of 300 pax, Sungai Maong Methodist Church 蒙恩堂 has recently opted for GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile sound system for their sanctuary's sound system upgrade. The decision was made after having gone through a series of selection and testing of systems of different makes, a necessary upgrade to resolve their long-time intelligibility and coverage issues among others.

For a very long time, the rectangular-shaped-high-ceiling sanctuary was slapped with issues such as muffled sound for the congregation and on the stage, unresolved bad howling issues from the microphones and loudspeakers. Musicians, worship leaders, and vocalists were having difficulty hearing themselves clearly. Over the years, numerous loudspeakers were added in the sanctuary with the hope to resolve these issues in the main sanctuary but to no avail.

Mr. Morgan Woan of GECKO® Borneo was engaged to carry out a full technical assessment and to propose solutions.

The simplest yet most effective setup and for the upgrade consists of:
