      Program Modules

      • Album
MODULE I - Students will be taught a strong foundation of the law of physics essential to audio engineering. Some of the topics covered are energy forms, the law of conservation of energy, wavelength, period, frequency, amplitude, sound velocity, sound attenuation, the inverse square law, and human hearing. There will be a quiz at the end of Module I.
MODULE II - This module will cover an overview of sound system basics, types of loudspeakers, loudspeaker phasing, frequency response sensitivity, impedance, power handling, directivity, and total harmonic distortion. There will be a quiz at the end of Module II.
MODULE III - In this module, students will learn in-depth about microphones, microphone polar patterns, and guidelines for their techniques and applications. There will be a quiz at the end of Module III.
MODULE IV - This module offers the study of loudspeaker positioning, practical tips on optimizing loudspeaker placement for live sound, the physics behind the loudspeaker’s sound wave and its effects in the room, and more. Students will also learn about power amplifiers in this module. There will be a quiz at the end of Module IV.
MODULE V - This module covers the topics of dynamic processing and equalization, the various types of audio connection formats and their components, and the discussion on mixing consoles. There will be a quiz at the end of Module V.
MODULE VI - This final module of the course is designed to help students achieve optimized results in their audio engineering works through the Universal Mixing Guideline (UMG)™ process. There will be a quiz at the end of Module VI.
